2017 Harvest Dinner

"Faith, Fun & Feeding the Hungry"

Our 2nd Annual Harvest of Blessings Dinner was a huge success.  It was a wonderful evening filled with “Faith, Fun & Feeding the Hungry.”  Thank you to all of our sponsors for their generous support.  Special thanks to Rewa Beemer for the decorations and Jennifer Maples for the administrative assistance. To all the volunteers who helped throughout the day and evening, we couldn't have done it without you!

Photos from the evening can be found by following this link - 2017 Harvest of Blessings pictures.

Some highlights from the event:

  • Adam and Justin started us off with music that provided a great backdrop for the rest of the evening.
  • We were inspired by our Founder & President, David Kieser, as he shared his faith and the story of how the Midwest Food Bank began 14 short years ago on his family farm.  From something so small to something so great...that is how God works.
  • Our comedian, Steve Geyer, entertained us with humor from the Bible and marriage while challenging us to continue to bless others in need.  And, our Master of Ceremonies, Michael Stuart added some humor of his own with stories from early days on stage with Steve.
  • Finally, we debuted our latest video, titled “Together.”  It was written and produced by Malt Maker Media.  You can view the video HERE.

We concluded the evening with a quote and a challenge from William Carey, an English Missionary from a couple of centuries ago.  He said, “Expect great things from God.  Attempt great things for God.”  I believe that is exactly what Midwest Food Bank is all about!

Thank you, once again, to all who joined us.  Your continued support, encouragement and prayers are very much appreciated.
